Fellow Darkstarians,
This is the first entry on the blog dedicated to the darkstar.ist.utl.pt project. As some of you might know, the darkstar.ist.utl.pt project (from now on referred to as "darkstar") aims to be the best Portuguese Open Source Mirror. As far as we can tell, we are.
Since the beginning of the project, we felt the need to interact with the darkstar user base. Several ideas came to mind. Build a news oriented web-site, build a user contributed portal, build a forum, all and none of the above, and so on.
Although we wanted to do something different – and, believe me, loads of stuff came to mind – we ended up answering only to e-mails of suggestions, questions, plain conversation or support.
So, until we actually come up with a brilliant idea, we’ve started a blog, that will post all news and changes that happen in our darkstar universe.

I think the blog is a nice idea, but as we can see from the ammount of comments, there are not much need of communication between the darkstar administration and the users.
Keep up with the project! :)
Is there any possibity to make a distro as web/online OS? It would be great to join to others OS's that are active on internet like the eyeOS...

what about ReactOS?
I know there were not any stable version released, but that would be nice.
É pena que se fale em inglês neste blog, aliás como em tantos outros de natureza informática...
Nós Portugueses somos assim... Temos vergonha do que é nosso e achamos sempre que se não é Português então é bom!!! O mais triste é ver isto a passar-se numa das mais prestigiadas universidades Portuguesas, enfim, mais um dia com a cabeça entre as orelhas!

Nao podia estar mais de acordo com o ultimo comentario do Sergio. Fale-se em portugues rapaziada, que nao e' por isso que os blogs/paginas vao ter mais/menos sucesso.
Quanto ao darkstar: para quando o Fedora 10 vai estar disponivel?
